About Golf Car Systems

With over 30 years and 350 million miles of golf car maintenance experience, Golf Car Systems is the most experienced service company in the Golf business. GCS has several thousand golf cars under its maintenance care in the United States and the Caribbean.  The company, based in Clearwater, Florida, was founded in 1973.  The company’s main product is its proprietary Fleet Service Program (see below) that includes a GCS service representative on-site  at the golf course performing all golf car maintenance: preventative, warranty, repair, and cosmetic.

Under this Program GCS schedules and controls, with its proprietary FleetHawk database system, all maintenance activities and provides a variety of valued-added benefits for its customers.  The FleetHawk system receives periodic mileage data collected from a meter that is mounted on the left-rear wheel of every golf car under the company’s care.  FleetHawk then generates monthly reports that enable GCS to precisely control balanced usage of the fleet, perform preventative maintenance based on mileage data, and even tell the club how many golf rounds were played on its fleet in the previous month.
GCS also handles purchasing of golf car parts and batteries and manages the golf car warranty program for the club.  GCS consistently keeps over 99% of the golf cars operating and producing golf revenues for its customers.  In addition, Golf Car Systems sells new, rebuilt, and used golf and utility cars in the Tampa Bay area as well as to international markets.

The company is run by Mike Souchak and Bill Dodd, two of its original founders.  Mike played on the PGA Tour from 1955 to 1966.  He held the record for the lowest score in a 72-hole tournament, a 257 in the 1955 Texas Open, for over 45 years (1955 - 2001).  Mike’s record of 27 on the back nine at the 1955 Texas Open still stands.  During his years on the Tour, Mike won 16 Tournaments including:

Texas Open 1955
